Re-marking of your written expression disappears on September 1
Today, if your written or oral expression score feels unfair, you can request a re-marking. France Éducation International is suspending this service for all sessions taken from September 1, 2026. Service is announced to resume in autumn 2027.
What disappears
No re-marking request accepted for sessions taken from September 1, 2026 onward.
Suspension tied to a system modernization. Resumption expected in autumn 2027.
Key points
- Re-marking cost between 90 and 200 CAD per section in Canadian centres, never refunded.
- The response took 4 to 6 weeks. And the new score could come back lower than the first one.
- From September, your only option after a disappointing score: retake the entire test and pay again.
Why this change catches unprepared candidates
Many tell themselves that if the score comes back borderline, they will contest it. That safety net is gone for September sessions. Your result on test day becomes final, unless you retake the whole session.
What you still control
The two affected sections are also the hardest to assess on your own. Train with detailed corrections before the session, not after. Our written expression tests show you where you lose points, task by task.
